Focus on Communications
When VSH built the new facility, we also rebuilt the entire communications system. To help coordinate communications, we've added multiple staff positions including client services, client liaison, and veterinary liaison. Client Services Director Barb Hill has implemented comprehensive, streamlined procedures, and a staff training program to ensure timely and effective communications throughout the entire organization.
In addition to these new policies, we're ensuring our support staff has the best tools available to strengthen communications, including new computer systems to expedite appointment scheduling and information exchange with you, our referring practices. Our goal is to transform our paper-based operations into a more efficient and productive paperless environment.
We are dramatically reducing phone hold times for clients, veterinarians, and their office staffs with a new phone system. This system is state-of-the-art, adding new phone lines and voice-over internet capabilites. An in-house paging system dramatically reduces the time it takes to link up a caller with the right VSH staff member.
