Frank LaBonté, MBA, F.A.C.H.E,  Hospital AdministratorFrank Labonte'

Frank LaBonté joined Veterinary Specialty Hospital San Diego as Hospital Administrator in March 2006. LaBonté is a seasoned health care executive who possesses more than 31 years of healthcare experience in human hospitals. Prior to joining the hospital he was the Administrator/Chief Executive Officer of Shriners Hospitals for Children in Los Angeles where he spent eight years.

LaBonté’s extensive healthcare experience as an Administrator and Chief Executive Officer is comprised of managing and directing hospitals in California, Texas, New Mexico, Iowa and Colorado. He has worked in the for-profit, not-for-profit, religious and public hospital settings. He advanced up through the hospital ranks beginning in an entry-level position and rising to the senior position. LaBonté possesses a Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration from Armstrong University, Berkeley and a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Mentor for the American College, and a Board Member and Chair of Membership for the Healthcare Executives of Southern California.The State of California and Who’s Who Worldwide has recognized LaBonté for his achievements in healthcare management. In addition, Governor Dae-pyung Sim of Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government honored Mr. LaBonté in 2002 as the first American with Honorary Citizenship in the Republic of South Korea for his work in humanitarian efforts for children.


Becky Blackwell, Client Services Manager

blackwell.jpgBecky Blackwell is the Client Services Manager at Veterinary Specialty Hospital.  Becky brings with her years of experience in client services and she is excited to be a part of a facility that provides the most comprehensive veterinary care available.  Becky is working towards implementing new practices that will further propel our client relations into the arena of excellence that is on a par with our medical services.  Improving and fine-tuning the communication technologies already in place in CSR will also be a prime area of focus.  Becky will continue to improve communications with referring veterinarians, clients and our specialists to create an experience of excellence at VSH.

 


Barb Hill, Client Services Coordinator  

bhill.jpgBarb Hill is the Client Service Coordinator at Veterinary Specialty Hospital.  She is committed to maintaining the best possible communication between clients and medical staff.  As a part of VSH for the last ten years, Barb brings with her an intimate knowledge of the special bond between owners and their pets in a medical setting.  Her particular focus is to ensure our clients have an excellent experience here at VSH.   She is compassionate about the specialized care VSH offers their challenging cases.
