You may have noticed the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), logo on our website, doors and marketing materials and wonder what it’s all about. AAHA is the only institution that accredits companion veterinary hospitals in the U.S. and Canada.

AAHA was built on the premise that pets deserve nothing less than the very best veterinary care. Both VSH in Sorrento Valley and VSH North County, are AAHA-accredited referral hospitals. That means we went through a rigorous process that only 12-15% of the hospitals nationwide can claim to have this prestigious rating. It is not a permanent certification. Every three years, we must once again pass the accreditation process which is a multi-day event.
