The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego (VSH San Diego) is proud to provide the highest quality specialty care to pets and the highest customer service to owners in the San Diego community. We work closely with family veterinarians to provide comprehensive care for our patients. Our staff of doctors, technicians, and client care specialists has exceptional training, motivation, and compassion for the pets we treat. We have the latest equipment, including MRI, CT scan, fluoroscopy, radiation therapy, digital radiography, a state-of-the-art intensive care unit, ultra-modern surgical suites, endoscopy, ultrasound, and much more.
Open 365 days a year, 24 hours per day, we offer state-of-the-art technology and exceptional patient care.
Patients are normally referred to Veterinary Specialty Hospital by their family veterinarian. Typically, your primary veterinarian will send VSH a referral form. The form will describe your pet’s problem and identify the appropriate specialty department to see your pet.

Our Hospital

Our three-story, 26,500 sq ft. hospital includes five treatment wards, eighteen exam rooms, two digital radiography suites, six operating rooms, and a state of the art ICU. We offer a full-service laboratory, joint replacement and orthopedic surgery suite, neurosurgery suite, and a complete oncology center, including medical and radiation therapy (linear accelerator and Cyberknife therapy). In addition, U.C. Davis nephrology/urology/hemodialysis, cardiology, pharmacy, and nutrition programs are on the premises.Our hospital provides referral services in the specialties of Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, and Internal Medicine.
