Fun Facts: Bruce’s mom is a doctor here at Veterinary Specialty Hospital. Bruce weighs 140lbs and when Bruce donates blood, he donates enough for a small city of small dogs. He has a very friendly, lazy demeanor and often falls asleep during his blood donations. But as soon as the blood donation is done and the treat bag comes out, he pops right back up. Bruce is always happy to see his second family here at VSH.

Saves: This year Bruce has donated 4 times and his blood has made a difference in the lives of FOURTEEN other dogs. Two dogs received Bruce’s blood twice! One of these dogs was a small Chihuahua who was attacked by an owl! The little Chihuahua received a blood transfusion and then went to surgery. The chihuahua was ready to go home just two day laters.
