Surgery
Our dedicated surgical teams, including board certified surgeons and highly trained veterinary technicians, along with leading technologies and commitment to healing, make Ethos a great choice for your pet’s veterinary surgery. Your veterinarian may recommend a consultation for a variety of orthopedic concerns, such as complex fractures, hip or knee issues, ligament injuries, or intervertebral disc problems (neck, back, lumbar). In addition, our surgeons are skilled in all areas of advanced soft tissue and oncologic surgery. Many of the more complex procedures may involve the major organs (liver, lungs, kidneys, spleen, urinary system) and tumor removal. Whenever possible, minimally invasive techniques such as arthroscopic joint surgery and laparoscopic procedures are used. Whatever the need, Ethos’ board certified surgeons have the expertise to successfully handle your pet’s veterinary surgery.

Minimally Invasive Surgery:A major surgical procedure can set back your pets for weeks — or even months — a massive time period for dogs and cats. More than ever advanced minimally invasive surgery means that they can get the treatment they need with faster recovery times and significantly less pain.
Laparoscopy: Laparoscopic surgery is a specialized technique using one or more small (pencil-sized) incisions and a high-definition 4k resolution camera to perform the procedure. The advantages include improved visualization, less pain and bleeding, lower risk of infection, and a shorter hospital stay. Our board-certified surgeons specialize in several advanced, minimally invasive procedures, including:
Ovariohysterectomy or ovariectomy
Cryptorchidectomy (retained testicle) or vasectomy
Total laparoscopic gastropexy
Gallbladder removal (laparoscopic cholecystectomy)
Biopsies (liver, intestines, kidney, pancreas)
Bladder stone removal (percutaneous cystolithotomy)
Adrenal tumors (adrenalectomy)
Kidney tumors (nephrectomy)
Hernia surgery
Thoracoscopy:
Lung tumors (thoracoscopic lung lobectomy)
Heart tumors (pericardectomy, auriculectomy)
Surgery for chylothorax (thoracic duct ligation)
