Donna

Donna the Breakfast Bandit

Donna

Occupation: Joy Ambassador, Coffee Table Lap Champion, and Certified Cuddle Distributor

Superpower: Saving lives with a golden heart and unstoppable energy

Age: 2 years old

Gender: Female spayed

Breed: Golden Retriever

Blood Type: DEA 1 Positive

Blood Donor Since: April 2025

At just two years old, Donna is already making a difference in the world. Her very first donation helped a dog fighting immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA)—a serious condition where the body attacks its own red blood cells. Thanks to Donna’s blood, that patient received vital support during a critical time.

Fun Fact: Donna has a pre-walk ritual—she insists on circling the coffee table twice before she’ll allow her harness and leash to be clipped on. It’s just part of her enthusiastic routine!

Favorite Activity: Meals, hands down. Breakfast and dinner are the highlight of her day (and she’ll let you know it).

Why She Became a Donor: After losing two beloved large-breed dogs within nine months, Donna’s mom, Alayna, wanted to help give other families the time she wishes she'd had. Donna, who adores every person and animal she meets, was the perfect partner for that mission.

Why Donna Deserves a Round of A-Paws: Donna lights up every room she enters—especially our hospital hallways, where she’s been known to zoom joyfully from one friendly face to another. Her spirited personality, coupled with a deep capacity to give, makes her a true hero. She reminds us that even the most playful souls can have the biggest hearts.
