About
Dr. Navreen Riar is a second-year Emergency and Critical Care resident at VSH. A California native at heart, she graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 2018 before heading to the desert to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in 2024. Following vet school, she returned to the Golden State to complete a rigorous small animal rotating internship in Los Angeles before joining the residency program at VSH.
Dr. Riar’s primary professional interests lie in the fast-paced management of polytrauma and sepsis.
When she is away from the ICU, Dr. Riar loves exploring the local culinary scene and trying new restaurants, as well as hitting the trails for a good hike. At home, she stays busy caring for her two favorite companions: her dog, Mia, and her lizard, Pascal.
