About
Dr. Oceane Aubry is a board-certified medical oncologist with over 15 years of experience in the field of oncology. She received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in upstate NY in 2000 and then obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2004. After graduation, she worked two years in general practice in Orange County, CA and then moved to Tampa, FL to pursue a 1-year specialty oncology internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists and Cancer Treatment Center. After her internship, she went to Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for her 3-year medical oncology residency and to pursue her master’s degree in biomedical sciences. Not long afterwards, Dr. Aubry came back to Southern CA and became a board-certified medical oncologist by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM). She worked at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital (which then became BluePearl) in Irvine for 11 years and helped grow the oncology service there. She led a monthly oncology journal club, taught and mentored small animal rotating interns as well as fourth year Western University veterinary students. She also gave numerous continued education lectures to referring veterinarians as well as contributed cases for multiple published studies. She has now joined the VSH Oncology Service and is excited for this new adventure.
Dr. Aubry is interested in all aspects of oncology with particular interests in lymphoma and mast cell tumors. She makes every effort to provide clients and their pets with tailored treatment plans while maintaining the highest quality of life possible for the patients. In addition, Dr. Aubry enjoys teaching and mentoring veterinary students and interns. She has also lectured and participated in a few clinical trials and looks forward to doing more in San Diego.
In her spare time, Dr. Aubry likes to spend time with her dog Claude as well as travel and scuba dive around the world.
