Dr. Sarena Sunico pursued both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at UC Davis. After obtaining her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, she completed a six-month internship at the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center in La Mesa, CA, followed by a year-long rotating internship at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Dr. Sunico finished her radiology residency at the North Carolina State University in June 2010, and became board-certified in Radiology in September 2010, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. Although she treasures the diversity that working with a variety of modalities brings, she particularly enjoys CT and using CT to improve the diagnostic yield from special procedures.
