About

Dr. Shawn Chandrakumar is originally from Northern California. He attended veterinary school at Massey University in New Zealand and graduated in 2018. He completed a rotating internship at Massey University and then came to the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego where he completed a specialty internship and an internal medicine residency. He completed his residency program in July 2022 and was accepted as a Diplomate into the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2023.

When not at VSH, he enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports as well as spending time with his cat Romeo and his new puppy Curry.
