Silas’ donations have helped more than 4 different dogs this year! Sparky, a 10 year old Shiba Inu Mix had a mass on his spleen that was hemorrhaging into his abdomen. He received a packed red blood cell transfusion from Silas’ donation during surgery to remove the mass and he is now doing well.

In addition to providing much needed blood for anemic pets, Silas’ plasma was used to make plasma eye drops for the ophthalmology department. One unit of plasma can help relieve painful eye conditions in over 20 ophthalmology patients!
