Fun Facts: Ziggy loves all sorts of treats! He can chew an entire bone in a matter of minutes. Ziggy loves to lay on the sofa and look out over his domain of the front yard. Frequently defending his home from all. Though he is a young dog, Ziggy’s dad says that he acts like an old soul in a young body – he loves to relax, but he does get the zoomies and chase his sister around (and be chased by her in return)! Ziggy loves to get pets and belly rubs and will often demand them from his family.

Between the PRBC and plasma products made from Ziggy’s donations, he has helped 10 different dogs this year! The most recent dog helped from Ziggy’s donation is a 15 year old chihuahua with chronic kidney disease. During the end stages of kidney disease, the kidneys are unable to release a hormone that stimulates red blood cell production. Ziggy’s donation helped this pet replenish her red blood cell concentration which gave her doctor’s enough time to start treating her kidney disease.
