About
A board certified specialist in Veterinary Radiation Oncology, Dr. Blaise Burke has special practice and research interests in canine thyroid carcinoma, feline nasal tumors, and the use of chemotherapy to improve outcomes for radiation patients. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.
Dr. Burke graduated with honors from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) in 2001 with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He completed an internship here at Veterinary Specialty Hospital in 2002. He then went to Cornell University, completing a residency in radiation oncology in 2005. A native Virginian, Dr. Burke maintains a relationship with Virginia Tech and is an active participant in research with that institution’s Center for Comparative Oncology (CeCO).
